A Family Shoot

I don't normally photograph families but when I do I can only hope the kids are as cute as this little girl! 

So, I've known this couple since we were kids...literally. I met Steven in middle school. He and his beautiful wife have been together since the year after high school. I like to call them "almost high school sweethearts." When their daughter turned one they honored me by asking me to do her photos! I was a little nervous because Steven really takes some great photos of his own. I knew expectations were high. This is one of the reasons I always like to do a pre-shoot consultation. In our sit down Steven told me they wanted more candid photos. So I made it a point to have them play and interact as a family to get just that.
